Character Analysis Of Chris Mccandless In Into The Wild By Jon Krakauer
Jon Krakauer writes “McCandless didn’t conform particularly well to… A pilgrim, perhaps”(85). I agree that Chris McCandless is some sort of a pilgrim. He isn’t arrogant or selfish or anything. He is seeking something in the wilderness and I believe that he is searching for the meaning of his life. Everyone wants to know what your life means and McCandless just has a weird way of doing that. He is exploring everywhere he goes and the farther he goes, the more he finds himself. Chris is not crazy nor a nutcase, he just wants to find out why his life has happened the way it has.

Although he says he is, he really isn’t. Throughout his journey he is mostly alone but in fact he valued friendships and had a lot of friendships throughout his quest. His quest has experienced many friendship. He met this older guy who wanted to father him. He likes this man very much. He values this friendship a lot and had many more. When he was sick, This lady wanted to mother him and take care of him and accept him to his life. He says he is alone but in fact so many people cared about him and he spends a lot of time with these folks.
Chris was a very kind man. He did not be mean to anyone and he was really selfless. He cared about others in ways ive never seen before. He wouldnt take advantage of other people. Even when he could be wealthy and have a good career he gave that up and gave all the money he had to chairty. He took care of many people through his journey even throughout all his anger and hate towards his parents, he was still kind to other poeple.
