Charlie Fish
Charlie Fish: Death by Scrabble

A:
“Death by Scrabble” by Charlie Fish is a story a husband and his wife. It`s the hottest day of the year, and they are playing scrabble. The husband becomes more and more angry at his wife, so angry that he would beat his wife to death. He is just waiting for the right time. The words they put down on the board, begins to happen in reality. When he puts the word “QUAKE” down, and she thereafter put “DEATH”, it all starts to shake and the man gets a piece stuck in his throat, which he had hidden in his mouth. The wife did nothing.

B:
I would say that he is the protagonist in the story, because he is doing nothing wrong, the only thing he does is to think evil thoughts. The protagonist is usually the "good" guy in the story and the main character. I wouldn’t say he is good, because he have intentions to kill his wife, but in the end it`s her who is the antagonist and let him die.

D:
Typical for the crime genre is that there often is a crime or someone who breaks the law. For example the woman in the story is breaking the law by not helping her husband, and as it says on the last line “I fall to the floor. My wife just sits there, watching.” The main character is often a police officer(the good guy) or a criminal(the bad gay), in our story you could say the main character is both. He's a bad guy inside, but “behave” on the outside. The tension also plays a major role and there is also often plot twist in the crime genre. In the story we as readers had an idea that he soon will kill his wife, but in the end it is her who kills him, it's called a plot twist and the tension is built up.

E:
I think it's a good story, because the excitement is built up and it does not end as expected. The author manages to build something up, although the story is so short.

This story was very odd but was a good book. The fiction of this story is tied to reality in a very unique way, that is very effective in making the story not feel very fantasy. This feature made the book truly more enjoyable. Other writing techniques like not having any foreshadowing. The book keeps you guessing until the very end. Even within the story parts that I had never seen coming, Like releasing the prince. Allowing Alix to run away and eventually return on curiosity.…

I thought that this book was adventurous and exciting. The author gave a lot of detail and the story line was very interesting. I liked the plot because it was exciting and Charlotte goes through a big change in the story. The book kept me wondering what would happen next. I did not like how the story ended though because it is probably not what I would have done. I could relate to Charlotte when she wanted to help the crew and become a part of them because that is how I would have felt to. I would have felt…

Grandmother Fa, Dr. Aaron Glassman, and Harry Sanborn are similar in two noteworthy ways. The first way is that they are all considered to be elders in their respective fictional universes. The second way is that they are all portrayed to be wise and highly respected by the people in their lives - both largely due to their ages. The representation of these characters as being revered and full of wisdom demonstrates the tendency of the media to stereotypically portray elders, whether in a positive or negative way. This propensity can promote prejudicial attitudes towards older adults.…

It looks like crime, and sounds like crime, and sells like crime, but -- it’s Literature! Its Opening is a subversion of the genre - a reversal of expectation as we are duped into believing this is your typical male private eye (P.I.). The role reversal - a female in a traditional male dominated field; women can do everything men can do - challenges the stereotypes of traditional crime fiction.…

It had humor, real life events, sadness, and suspense. I would most definitely recommend this novel to someone because although it’s very long, you won’t want to stop reading it. This book will make you wonder, cry, even laugh. It’s a book that I think had great meaning and was put together very well. In my opinion, there is no flaws about this book except how long it is.…

The only aspect that bothers me a bit is that the story seems a bit jumbled; events that spread years apart are put together in one page, and then a few paragraphs later, the story flies back to third grade memories.I find myself desperately trying to reorient myself, but sometimes I simply cannot and have to reread the whole page.…

    Albert Fish

Everyone is aware there are different types of murders out there. All of them take people’s lives but how they do it in each category is different. In the case of serial killers they kill three or more individuals spaced out over a period of time. They tend to go through phases which include the killing phase, capture phase, aura phase, totem phase, and the depression phase. The phases do not happen in a specific order and not all serial killers experience all of them. Each individual is different. However, during the aura phase the killer becomes withdrawn from reality and tends to have heightened senses. During the killing phase is when the killer actually takes the victims life and that normally leads to the totem phase. This is when the killer tends to take a memento of the ‘moment’. For example, Albert Fish would take body parts to cook and eat. Serial killers may experience a phase of depression after the initial effects of the kill wears off, which is normally why the totem phase takes place (to prolong the experience). There is also the capture phase, which generally takes place prior to killing the victim. During this phase the killer renders the victim helpless in a way in which they cannot escape their captivity (Kitaeff, 2011, p. 102). It is quite complex and disturbing. Let’s move onto a serial killer case that is disturbing and riveting and claimed potentially hundreds of children’s lives.…

I thought the writer had a really good flow of style and expressed herself really well, especially with the storyline. It was a great story overall, the writer was very graphic with her words and it kind of made me feel like I was there re-living that moment with her. Her style was cool and she built up the story with conflict. The suspense was awesome because she made it feel like it was going to be good from the start to the end, but then I felt the tension when things became dark and muggy. The argumentation was written well and the story ended on a good note. The writer wrote for her people and you could literally…
