There are various types of child abuse that come with different affects, signs, prevention and treatment. They can be sum up in four different categories which are emotional/psychological, child negligence, physical, and sexually. All of them have different affects such as physically, emotionally, behaviorally, and societal. All the different abuses come with different signs which vary from each category. Prevention and treatment is available in many different ways. Child abuse, sadly, is really common in the United States.
Emotionally and psychologically abuse is maltreatment of the child which attacks a child emotional development and sense of well being (Teach Through Love, 2012). There are 6 types of different emotional and psychological abuse which consist of rejecting, which is when the caregiver either on purpose or by accident makes the child know that he or she is not wanted, ignoring, when parents pay no attention to the child’s social way of living or important events, terrorizing, usually when parents use threats, yelling, or cursing against the child, isolating, is when the parent does not let the child get involve in stuff from his age or when he lets the infant stay in his room the whole day, corrupting, parents that allow their child to do drugs, alcohol, watch cruel behavior towards animals or let them see pornographic videos, and exploiting, when the caregiver gives the child something greater than what he is capable of doing because of either his psychological needs or because of his age.
