Child Soldiers Persuasive Essay

Unicef isn’t helping child soldiers get rescued from countries as much as they should. Child soldiers need more attention, they are too young to fight in war. The news is not covering much about child soldiers and they are completely neglecting that there are also girls that are serving at child soldiers but the news doesn’t show that. Instead of using all the money on helping child soldiers they should add schools to the places so that they won’t need to go in the war because many children join the military because they lack education and they are from pool families. People aren’t speaking up for child soldiers anymore because a lot of people don’t know about them.

There needs to be more attention for child soldiers because there are still over 300,000 child soldiers currently in the world and are having to fight in war because they are under 18. There is not much attention about child soldiers on the news. On the news they are showing unimportant articles than talking about serious issues. Child soldiers need to get more recognition on the news and celebrities need to start talking about it, so people can be informed.

The Unicef needs more funding because all they do is rescue the child soldiers they have a hard time doing more than that. “The Unicef has a funding gap of only $35
“However, there are those who have no access to such facilities are therefore have no way to support themselves” (Chigozie). Unicef is not covering all the countries. Unicef should also start teachings kids how not to be manipulated because they are very young and it’s easy for the recruiters to get them participate in the war. There need to be laws that are against the recruitment of child soldiers. Unicef needs to get too all the countries that need rehabilitation programs otherwise child soldiers will not stop anytime
