My Childhood memory
Every kid has there own special memory in their life that they always look back at and remember or constantly thinking about. Most kids in their life enjoy that for the rest of their life and tell everyone about because chances are it makes them very happy. This memory all started when it was a warm summer night and my dad came home saying he had a surprise and it was tickets to Hawaii. My whole family was extremely happy. It was the summer of 2010 when we left at 3:30 am to leave for Los Angeles International airport. It was summer so it wasn’t so cold. So my family and I got in the car and went. We arrived super early at the airport because we had to boarding time was at 6:30 and my dad always wants us to be there early just in case we have an emergency. So as soon as we got on the plane we ate a small breakfast that was actually good for airplane food. As soon as I got on the plane I fell asleep I was super tired and then my dad moved me so I awoke telling me that we be arriving in Hawaii in 15 min. I was super curious to see what it was like because I have always hard it was amazing sites and great weather. We landed and got out of the plane and headed to our cab driver that took us to the nicest hotel I have ever seen in my entire life. Waterfalls everywhere with people greeting you to the hotel giving you flowers and chocolates of all kind. This was just the beginning we walked into the huge hotel, checked in and had many people carrying our bags. We walked into our big hotel room set our bags down and then the people carrying our bags shut the doors. My family started asking my dad what we were going to do next while my family was having this conversation I walked over to the window open the curtains and there is a huge pool with massive water slides and huge wave pool. I knew my brother and sister would love to go to that same with my parents. So next thing I know I’m going down a big slide with my brother and were both

Childhood memories are the best kind of memories, but some stand out more than others. My favorite childhood memory is filming my commerical with my soccer team at age six. One of the family members of one of my teammates worked for Fox Two News and filmed us doing a “Fox Two in My Neighborhood” commercial. Beforehand, the crew had given us a script with our lines so we had a plan of what each of us would say. When the crew arrived, we set up the field started filming. My part was at the very beginning, and I said, “We’re the Smithton Ladybugs!” People that ran the crew tried several girls for my part, but they just kept coming back to me. We ran through the whole commerical, then my dad took me home. I still vividly remember the reports and…

“Why are you even bothering? You’re too stupid to read that, let alone understand it.” This phrase, and many like it, was all I heard from my biological father as I was growing up. I was one of the many unlucky children that grew up with an abusive parent. My biological father hit me, belittled me and much, much more. Yes, I am angry at him, but in a cruel round-a-bout way, my father helped me become the intelligent woman I am today.…

Growing up, Sedaris had a good life. He had a loving family that supported him and made sure he was well taking care of. Sedaris’ friend, Hugh had a very difficult lifestyle. When Hugh was growing up as a child, he saw things that children should not be forced to witness. Hugh’s class took a field trip to a slaughterhouse one day, where they were treated to a pig’s execution. “…One of the brothers drew a pistol from his back pocket, held it against the animal’s temple, and shot the piglet, execution-style.” (Paragraph 6, page 109) At another occasion, Hugh witnesses a dead man on a telephone pole. “Unlike me, he left the theater two hours later, to find a dead man hanging from a telephone pole at the far end of the unpaved parking lot.” (Paragraph 10, page 110) Hugh was often neglected by this family and spent majority of his adolescence with surrogate parents. Hugh’s life wasn’t the not good at all but Sedaris wanted Hugh’s life.…

I am an international college student from Vietnam, and have been through twelve grades with lots of memories. One thing I could say is the interval time between my sixth and eighth grade was the time that I cherish the most. It is not only because it was my most successful time with a bunch of fabulous achievements I obtained, but also because literally it was my great pleasure to be instructed by a very thoughtful teacher. She was my Mathematics teacher, and her name is Mrs. Nguyen.…

What is childhood? According to science, childhood is “the stage before puberty” or, to be more specific, “the state of a child between infancy and adulthood.” But childhood is so much more than a concrete reality defined by literal terms. It is an abstract concept. If, right now, I say that I have never ever ever had a Tamagotchi or played Mario Brothers – now, I know that you’re all thinking, “Wow, that girl has no childhood!” And that time when you found out that Piglet is male and Tweety Bird is male and Blue is female, you think, “My whole childhood was a lie.” Get it? CHILDHOOD. Childhood is not just some dictionary term for us. It is an important part of our lives. It’s that time of magic, wonder, and imagination – that time when everything felt just about right.…

I was watching the kids playing in the park and drawing with chalks on the hallway, thinking of me being like them when I was in their age. Little kids get nothing to worry, they chase each other, and they giggle and laugh out loudly, like I did. I can still remember how much fun I had in kindergarten. We always had activities, festivals, field trips and performances. Learning was not hard for me, actually it interested me. The teachers I met were nice, they were very patient and they were all ‘kids’ people. I was once in the kindergarten, eating snacks and playing in the sandbox just like the kids.…
