giving their lives. Have you ever heard of a man named Chris Kyle?
Well this man is another great example of a hero. He is considered a hero by me and many other different people because he dignifies what a true hero does. Chris was just an ordinary man that served for his country. He went on a mission with his crew and got into a big gun battle with their targets. When one of his men was shot Chris ran to his station and began to keep fighting for his and his teams lives. He took the opportunity that many would not take to safe many of his teammates. He inspired me to take chances and to not be afraid to do anything especially if it means saying many
lives. “Unbroken” is a movie that has really caught my attention and has really brought inspiration to me. This movie is based on a true story about a man names Louis Zamperini who is an amazing example of a true hero. Louis went through many tragedies in his early years and lived through many terrifying events that many would have died through. He is a strong and dedicated person and he is extremely loyal. Never once did he give away any of his teams cover and strategies. Louis is strong and unbreakable, like the title of the movie. He survived an airplane crash, lived 47 days on the pacific, survived a shooting against their enemies, managed to live on the island where everyone was believed to die on, and he survived 2 long years in a Japanese prison camp. These are some pretty heroic events that he went and survived though. I don’t think I would be able to do that. I admire him in many different ways and I look up to him as someone who can do anything. He did the impossible, and fought though everything that life threw at him, he gave it everything he had, and he inspires me to not back down from anything that life decides to throw my way. A project that really appealed to me in an inspiring way was a presentation on a boy during the Holocaust. This boy was an ordinary child during the time and he decided that he wanted to save some of the Jews lives. This to me is such a brave and heroic act for a young man to do. He hid the Jews knowing that if anyone would ever find out that there would be consequences held against him. Yet he still did it anyways and he did it in a miraculous way that most people would never think of doing. He used his young hostile knowledge and the Think Win-Win strategy to save and care for many Jews. He inspires me to use all of my knowledge and dedication to doing what I believe is right. He is another great example of a hero and I think that more people should know about him. These past segments on heroes has really made me think differently about people who I believed to be heroes. They are not only marvel characters in story books they are real people living in our world. To be a hero you don't have to have super powers or x-ray vision the only thing you need is courage and selflessness. Just like the examples that we’ve covered they all don’t have anything special about them that makes them heroes, they are just like anyone else going about there daily life, except for the fact that they actually stop and smell the roses every once in a while.
