I was with my cousin one day because my grandparents were at a dance for our church. They had to let me stay with someone so they chose my cousin Jason, the best cousin in the world. When my cousin and I were talking about the approaching summer and what we would do, Jason came over to me and said, ‘ I have a surprise for you about what we would do this summer .’

Right after he finished sentence he ran to the garage and pulled out the one object that changed all my video, hobby, and picture search ideas. For the next year all I watched, searched and did was a very long skateboard with big wheels, ( a.k.a ) the one and only longboard. Every day I would go outside and longboard, doing my tricks and slides. I would get hurt often and get scabs, scars, rips and tears on my clothing and skin, while also getting blisters, cut up brusied hands, but I did it for the love of longboarding.

Most people have their own hobbies like fishing, chess, basket ball, baseball or soccer, but I have my very own unique one. I like to make own longboards so I can put my own curve and flex. Every longboarder has their own preference.

The reason I make longboards is because when I was ten I wasn’t aloud to get one. My grandpa thought they were dangerous because I was riding a skate board one day and I fell while doing a trick and broke my foot. That happened on my grandpas birthday well, you are probably thinking that It was a broken foot, but it wasn’t. When I broke that foot I snapped and splintered three bones, also putting then out of alignment. There was a solution for this, but I didn’t like it. I had to have surgery to put the bones back so they would heel right. If it didn’t I would I would be crippled. I was out of school for three months and I lost a lot of education. Because of this horrible accident my grandpa never bought me a longboard, but he said I could make one. He did this because he thought that I

“Fix it.” I said really angrily he knew I was mad and told me there was no way to fix it the axle was bent and broken. At that point I was just in rage, I looked at him in the face and pointed at him saying “This is why you should have kept the kiddies rink so this wouldn’t happen, but now we are here because you wanted to make an extra buck. Don’t expect me to be coming back anytime soon.” And with that I left and went to bennies house. He was able to fix my skate temporarily till I could get some new ones ordered. My cousins and I would always be together, Literally 24/7. Sometimes we would fight and i look back and remember and i think it's the funniest thing in the world, we still bring our little arguments up to this day to have a real good laugh, but having so many different personalities around made my life so much fun. If we weren't outside playing with the water hose getting in trouble with our great grandmother for wasting water or playing tag or Hide And Go Seek, We’d be inside watching cartoons while our Aunts were having extremely loud Conversations in the kitchen and the Men were outside talking about football or something. My favorite memory of my childhood was when i would get to go to my grandmother's house every Saturday with my close family around to eat either Barbacoa or homemade Menudo.…

I have a Christian worldview. A worldview is the structure by which an individual or group makes sense of the world. Philip Graham Ryken describes it as “our orientation to reality.” It seeks answers to questions like, “How did we get here?” and “In what is our ultimate hope?” Ryken believes all worldviews are inherently religious because they reveal our “fundamental convictions,” particularly what we believe about God. Further, he believes we all develop a worldview, whether consciously or subconsciously, with regard to the fundamental question of origin, problem, and hope. There are many factors which contribute to one’s worldview, including one’s background, experiences, education, socio-economic circumstances and nationality. Of course,…

The scientific method is a tool that enables a person to seek out new knowledge, or correct and integrate new knowledge. It is composed of eight individual steps: which start out with defining a question, gathering information and resources, form an explanatory hypothesis, test the hypothesis by performing an experiment and collecting data in a reproducible manner, analyze the data, interpret the data and draw conclusions that serve as a starting point for new hypothesis, publish results, and ends with a retest. The steps can be grouped into four different essential elements: operation, observation, model, and utility function.…

Christian worldview is one of the worldviews that determines how a person perceives the world and acts as a foundation of how to live life. For ten years I worked in a collectivism culture driven by high power distance, charismatic and team oriented leadership where managers had the ability to expect high performance outcomes, motivate and build effective teams for common purposes, and employees had low engagement in making decisions. I moved overseas and over the past five years I have been working in an individualistic culture driven by autonomous leadership, low power distance and encouragement of more open discussions to solve problems.…

    Longboarding

Young people around the country purchase longboards for purposes that symmetrical skateboards struggle to perform, such as transportation over long distances and achieving sharper turns. The shape of these boards, their elevation from the ground, and their rubber wheels allow much smoother, faster riding than the characteristics of normal skateboards. Not only is the act of riding a longboard much different than that of a common skateboard, but there is also an entirely different culture for the sport. Instead of starting from scratch, trying to learn tricks that may intimidate new skateboarders, all a budding longboarder needs to succeed is balance and a little confidence.…

Surfing was his life, he got his first surfboard when he was three and won the little league surfing championship at the age of six. “Do you want to enlist in the sport?” he asked. “Are you crazy, surfing isn’t even a real sport it’s so easy, I replied. He replied saying, “You know what, after you participate in the competition then come and tell me if you think it’s a real sport,” he said angrily and annoyed. “I’m sorry. I didn’t mean it like that,” I screamed running after him but, he ignored me and walked away. After feeling a little bad, I realized that surfing really means a lot to him, and maybe I should try it out before I judge the sport. I purchased a long board surf board from a shack on the beach which was a nice aqua color that matched with the ocean and enlisted my name in the…

Part one will be about Buddhism and part two will compare Buddhism and the Biblical worldview. The questions to be answered are:…

On a Christian Living perspective, there are a few anthropolgies that could be a principle to the social problem. One is, Man is a person, on the saying that we are rational and conscious beings, we have free will and we have self-awareness. This anthropology shows that people who does drugs and such should be aware on how their actions could affect them. They should know that these bad actions leads to nothing good, in fact it can make your life worse. Yes we have free will but we should know how to use them right. Another is historical reality where in we exercise our freedom in order to improve ourselves since we do have a task given by God that we should do with God's grace. This anthropology teaches us that we have a chance to improve…

“Every story is informed by a worldview” (Brian Godawa). A worldview is basically how one sees the world based on their own perceptive. However, a biblical worldview is not based upon any beliefs and values. A biblical worldview is defined as a framework of ideas that are in the scripture. Growing up, I never thought about my worldviews having to do with being a Christian. To be honest, I chose my views on the world based on what is happening around me. My parents, family, friends, and experiences I have encountered throughout my life. Keith Druly defined a worldview as “a particular bias in our presuppositions that influences how you look at the world and what we see or expect to see” (Druly). I can agree that I am biased when it comes…

Followers of Jesus, a Jewish man, started a new religion, Christianity. Christianity started to grow during the Pax Romana, a period of peace in Rome. The Pax Romana lasted from 27 B.C.E to 180 C.E. and during it government improved, literature prospered, engineering improved, and laws formed. The peace during the Pax Romana provided a time for Christianity to rise. Christianity spread rapidly and successfully in the 1st through 3rd centuries because it appealed to many people, missionaries could easily travel and spread the message, and because of the events taking place in Rome.…

To have a worldview is to understand oneself and to understand how to live. There are several different world views. Some might have similar core standards, but all vary. Why is that? Why are there disagreements that cause conflict between people? Why can we not all know what is true and come into agreement? I believe the answer is sin. I come from a Christian Theistic background. Throughout this semester the one worldview we discussed that shocked me the most was Nihilism. It is the complete opposite of Christian Theism. There is hope in knowing Jesus and there is no hope in Nihilism.…

Whenever there is dialog about the significant of evolving a Christian worldview perspective, it usually necessitates persuasive discussion opposing the doctrines of the world or the industry and manufacturing. A Christian Worldview is much more than just having intellectual responses to problems. It alludes to flowing biblical principles and concepts in the personal practical domains of everyday life. As Christian administrators, causation must be taken because the infectious views by the secular worldviews can impact them in their beliefs and in their practices. For example, a non-profit or for profit healthcare organization may be biblical in its message or appearance, but fail to be biblical in its methodology. As Christian administrators,…
