FOR THE NOTICE OF THE TEACHERS
1. This syllabus consists of twenty lessons. Teachers should so divide and teach the lessons, taking into account the standard of the students, as to cover the syllabus within a year.
2. It is also essential to conduct periodical tests in order to know whether the students have learnt what they have been taught.
3. Before teaching a lesson, teachers should first study not only the Bible portions and verses given in the lesson, but also portions and verses corresponding to the subject found elsewhere in the Bible. It is sufficient, if after that the lesson is taught in a simple way according to the standard of the children. Teachers should be faithful in this respect, because it will be impossible to teach the children, unless they themselves study the lessons in detail.
4. Teachers should train the students to memorise the memory verses the day the lesson is taught and make them recite the same in the following class.
5. If errors are noticed in any lesson, the teachers should make a note of such errors in the blank sheet sub-joined to the syllabus, and later bring them to the notice of the Secretary of the Sunday School.
We publish this syllabus, giving thanks to the Lord for all the benefits He has hitherto bestowed upon the Sunday School work. May the Almighty God make this syllabus a blessing to all the Sunday School teachers and students!
