Christmas shopping can be a stressful experience but if you follow these simple steps, you can easily pick up the perfect gift stress free. Christmas shopping in December is a sure fire way to be stressed. The packed parking lot full of elderly people who cant drive and the mile long line ups at the tills is not a good way to spend the holidays. The first step is to by all of your gifts in November. This way instead of being in a line up you can be at home drinking eggnog. If you are reading this and it's already December its not too late. You can always get gift certificates and make the person who you are buying for go through Boxing Day hell. Hay better them than you. Next what to buy? This is easier than you think. The more money you spend the more the person will appreciate it. You can buy almost anything just as long as you have the money to do so. If your short on funds you can always buy stuff hot. This requires you to go to your friendly neighbourhood rip off artists. All you have to do is tell them what you want and they will get it for you. At about one third, the original cost it's a great bargin. If you have a conscience, you can get around this to. If you have anything worth a lot of money just box it up and give it away. Also do you have anything that you got last year for Christmas and don't use? Just box up and give that crap away. If you're a known Indian giver, chances are that you won't get anything good for Christmas. If you are an Indian giver, you have to cover that fact up. Cover your tracts and keep the original boxes. This way it will look like new and know one will even think that it's second hand. The next step is to wrap the box. This is easy to; in most malls, there is free gift-wrapping. If you bought your gift in November, all you have to do is bring your gift the mall in December and pretend that you just bought it and they'll wrap it for you. You don't have to buy any wrapping paper or spend hours wrapping. Next, the cash in. The

My wife loves to go Black Friday shopping. I decided to venture out with her as I was curious about the environment. I figured it would be a great observation point as it is intense and very busy. We left our home at 6:30pm and arrived at Walmart at 7:00pm on Thanksgiving night. The parking lot was completely full and people were searching for carts in between cars. I immediately knew this was going to be a long night. As we entered the front door, we were already stopped by the masses of people. There were lines curving in every direction and people seemed to have already lost their patience. There was a strong body odor that we noticed from the multitudes of people crammed together and the vibe was they were out for blood. It started to become very comical for me.…

In today’s highly competitive markets retailers evaluate all opportunities and possibilities to present the right product at the right price with the right promotional support in the right place. Category Management (CM), Efficient Consumer Response (ECR) and Consumer Relationship Management (CRM) are concepts that have been embraced by Retail Buyers and Retail Buying. To begin with, CM is a retailing concept to help retailers increased value to the end consumer and then increase customer loyalty, and it is also belong to ECR; ECR is managerial approach which helps retailers and suppliers to implement more efficiency, and CRM is a strategic concept used by retailers and suppliers to gain a mass of data about consumers. Even though they all have own benefits, they still have limitations. For instance, CM is difficult to apply only by retailers; ECR must grasp consumers’ expectation very accurately and CRM is a kind of investment with high costs and risks. Therefore, it is better to apply them three together.…

For this activity our group decided to go grocery shopping for Thanksgiving. We found that it can be very wasteful. We had a list of 12 items to buy including turkey, potatoes, pies, cranberries, veggies, bread, stuffing, decorations, paper plate, plastic cups, plastic utensils, alcohol all of these items come along with other packaging that had to be made somewhere else largely from some type of synthetic industrial plant because most are packaged in plastic even potatoes that could be sold singulare for thanksgiving it's cheaper to buy the 5 pound plastic bag. In addition to this at the checkout because we have so many items we choose to have them bagged again and we forgot our reusable bags so we are just using plastic bags that the grocery store has.…

In the story “Overspending: A tale of Christmas Past Essay“ depicts the human nature of most of us in buying lots of stuff to celebrate a holiday like Christmas. We often times get excited to every holiday because of the things we see around us, like the displayed toys on the shelves, good decorations on commercial store, the time off to shop or even the thought of getting good shopping deals etc. There is always the tendency of being excessive during Christmas. Just like the common mistake parents do during holidays. They shower their children with so many gifts. Parents wanted to provide the best as they say. But, they are only showering them with a lot of material stuff, so plenty that at times they get so overwhelmed. The worst thing…

    Christmas

I liked the cement mixer and played with it as much as or more than I played with the other toy vehicles I owned. At some point, several weeks or months after Christmas, however, my biological parents led me to believe that it was a magic and/or highly unusual cement mixer. Probably my mother told me this in a moment of adult boredom or whimsy, and then my father came home from work and joined in, also in a whimsical way. The magic—which my mother likely reported to me from her vantage on our living room’s sofa, while watching me pull the cement mixer around the room by its rope, idly asking me if I was aware that it had magical properties, no doubt making sport of me in the bored half-cruel way that adults sometimes do with small children, playfully telling them things that they pass off to themselves as “tall tales” or “childlike inventions,” unaware of the impact those tales may have (since magic is a serious reality for small children), though, conversely, if my parents believed that the cement mixer’s magic was real, I do not understand why they waited weeks or months before telling me of it. They were a delightful but often impenetrable puzzle to me; I no more knew their minds and motives than a pencil knows what it is being used for. Now I have lost the thread. The “magic” was that, unbeknown to me, as I happily pulled the cement mixer behind me, the mixer’s main cylinder or drum—the thing that, in a real cement mixer, mixes the cement; I do not know the actual word for it—rotated, went around and around on its horizontal axis, just as the drum on a real cement mixer does. It did this, my mother said, only when the mixer was being pulled by me and only, she stressed, when I wasn’t looking. She insisted on this part, and my father later backed her up: the magic was not just that the drum of a solid wood object without batteries rotated but that it did so only when unobserved, stopping whenever observed. If, while pulling, I turned to look, my parents sombrely…

At my dad’s house, I received all my gifts and then we would sit down have lunch with his fiancé and talk about how Christmas has been so far. Being with my dad just makes me happy that he was around, even though he was no longer with my mom. Even if it’s only a few hours with my dad, we would always find Christmas movies on the TV and just relax until I had to leave. One of our favorite Christmas movies are Dr. Seuss’ “How the Grinch Stole Christmas” and “The Polar Express”. We watch the same 2…

    Christmas Time

Everyone knows that there’s no better feeling than the night before Christmas, as you gather around at Grandma’s house and exchange gifts with the family. The warm smell of a freshly baked batch of sugar cookies flowing through your nose, and the excitement inside as you stare at your gift trying to guess what’s inside. I can hear the sharp ripping of wrapping paper as all the children around me rush through the paper to find what they have received and the laughter of the adults around as the child forms a giant grin of their face after seeing what they’ve gotten. I can feel the heat coming from the fire place as the fire crackles and sparks. After everyone finishes opening their gifts and visiting with family, we all go our separate ways on our way home to get to bed. I can feel the excitement rushing through me as I hug everyone goodbye and hear the words “Merry Christmas” in my ear. On the drive home I observe the bright colorful Christmas lights draped over every house we pass, and the creative snowmen and snow angels made by small children. The sound of cheerful Christmas songs playing on the radio while we all sing along travels through my ears. When I get home I hurry up and put my pajamas on so I can help my mom frost and decorate the cookies before heading to bed. The taste of the leftover frosting melts on my tongue when I lick it off of my fingers. I can hear the sprinkle of the various colors of sprinkles hit the counter as I sprinkle them on the cookie. When finishing the cookies, the warm feeling inside grows rapidly and I take the next step towards Christmas morning, pouring the glass of milk and leaving a few cookies out on the counter on a plate for ‘Santa’. I take a leap into my bed and pull the covers up to my neck as the excitement is hard to bare. The next morning I wake up bright and early and jump out of bed running to every room waking up the family to open the gifts. I quickly run into the living room, and take a…

I chose Online Shopping: benefits and hazards. The reason for choosing this topic is because I do a lot of online shopping. It’s convenient for me because I don’t have to get out into the mix of traffic on the highway and I don’t have to fight the traffic inside the stores. I like shopping online because I don’t have to worry about them locking the door, turning the lights out on me, or announcing over the intercom “attention shoppers, the store will be closing in ten minutes.” That’s just a few benefits of shopping online and here a few hazards of shopping online.…
