Chemotherapy is the main treatment you hear about when it comes to any type of cancer, I personally know people who have had to deal with that and it can be a struggle at times. You can also try a clinical trial with a new treatment to try and heal the disease (chronic). There's also transplants you can try such as bone marrow transplants which is where the disease commonly starts, so they often try and replace that. Then there's targeted drug therapy, it can take care of and attack vulnerabilities of the cancer to help slow it down and help the process of stopping it completely. There's also palliative care that tries to help people with the pain that Chronic lymphocytic leukemia causes (Mayo Clinic Staff). Out of all the treatments there is, chemotherapy is most common and has the highest chance of stopping the cancer, a lot of times they will make you stay at a clinical center and receive the chemotherapy treatment for weeks at a time until it is better.
Chemotherapy has many bad effects on the body too. It causes bone pains in the body and will cause you to throw up a lot.
