Class Definition Essay

In my eyes class “class” is not represented in a way a person dresses or in what kind of car they own, or the neighborhood they live in. Class to me, is how a person is on the inside, and how good of a person they are. In my eyes a person of high class is a person who does good deeds even when no one is looking, or someone who wouldn't hesitate to save or help a stranger. That is high class to me, low class in my opinion are fake people who show themselves as good people when others are watching, but are completely different when they're alone. Those are people who i believe are low class. I grew up in a poor family with two parents who were barely making the minimum wage, then later with a single parent. My mother taught me to always treat people the way same way that I would like to be treated. The definition of class on the Merriam-Webster web page defines class in three separate ways. The first definition is a class of students, the second is class defined financially, and the third is a person's kindness. Almost all of the dictionaries have the second definition which is financial class over the third, which is a person's kindness. Some don't even have the third definition in their definitions.
A person's best trait in my opinion is the kind of person they are on the inside and being genuinely good. If someone is in a higher class financially, but is not a good person I will not respect them. They are not considered high class in my eyes. I believe that I was taught with good values, and values are much more valuable than money. I believe that society would not agree with me because money has made people forget what's truly important in life, and that is love. High class is the love and kindness that we show others.
