The Feast of St.Francis is about St.Francis Assisi who acted like a God and saw in the poor and sick, praised all creatures as brothers and sisters under God, became a peacemaker and a bridge builder during the time of the crusades. In addition Pope Francis' name originated from the name St.Francis. "The issue of climate change sees little traction because legislators simply talk past one another with no genuine attempt at dialogue", this quote means that the people who make the law does not attempt to talk about the issue of the environment, hence the Catholic Church is trying to take responsibility. Therefore the catholic climate covenant is expressing the issue towards the population globally, informing them about the issue as a serious matter. Through hosting a Feast of St.Francis event, the community will engage with Pope Francis' signal about impacts on the poorer people and communities.
Pope Francis and the catholic climate covenant communicates the issues of environmentalism through the encyclical letter, Laudato Si and the program Feast of St.Francis. Through these two sources they are able to inform the world globally about the issues many communities suffer from for the reason that wealthier countries are very greedy for money and attractions and are blind towards this situation.
