Climbing Mount Everest is a very tough decision. There are many things to take into consideration. One thing to take into consideration is the risk of death. About 4,000 people who have attempted to climb and 240 people have died trying to summit Everest. It is also dangerous when you are not climbing. In order to even attempt to summit Mount Everest, you have to be in very good shape. In the book Peak, Peak’s dad had him do a physical before going to Everest. You have to prepare to climb without losing focus or getting tired. Not only that, but you have to adjust to the climate and low oxygen. If your body does not adjust then you might get frostbite or nausea which can endanger you. If you get nausea and you are not focused then you can make a mistake which can lead to death. On page 425, in the textbook, it states that less oxygen to the brain can lead to a fatal mistake. The textbook on page 422 says that you can also get AMS(Atypical Measles Syndrome) which is sickness which is due to low oxygen.
The last reason that it is not a good idea to climb Mount Everest is the cost. Climbing Mount Everest is a very expensive thing to do. On page 425 in the textbook, it says that if you leave trash on the mountain than you are required to pay $4,000 for garbage cleaning. You also have to pay for the trip, food, place to stay, a group to climb with and more things. It is also not guaranteed that you will be able to summit Mount everest. It is a lot of money to pay for something that is not guaranteed.
Climbing Mount Everest is not the best idea. There is a lot of money that goes into it. It is not cheap to go and summit. There is also the risk of death or sickness. It is also not certain that you will be able to summit. The weather can change
