Clothes during the Middle Ages that were brighter and better were signs that they were wealthy people. The lord, or in this case the wealthy powerful men, would often wear hose (stocking, tights, etc) with a jacket. Not only that but often ladies, wealthy women during the time, would wear linen or silk undergarments with a gown topping the entire outfit. Clothing between both peasants and lords and ladies were different due to the amount of power each person had. But these people would spend most of their time in the Keep, which was inside the castle. The Keep had great hall (that served as an office) dining room, and dance hall while the upper floors had bedrooms for the noble family to sleep in. Inside the entire castle there was stables and a large kitchen too. With all these rooms inside the castle, they were mainly filled with servants that would work for the castle day by day while other people like knights would defend
