Code Of Ethics: The Social Work Profession
When someone mentions social work, people believe that a social worker helps an individual or family get assistance such as SNAP. Although social work is a helping profession that is not what a social worker does. There are many different professions in the social work field and some of them include advocacy and community organization, helping families or family member who are recovering from substance abuse, child welfare, developmental disabilities, public welfare, etc. The social work profession also follows a code of ethics that each social worker has to follow.
There are six codes of ethics that a social worker must follow they include service, social justice, dignity and worth, importance of human relationships, integrity and competence.
