What are the advantages of having diversity in a collaborative learning environment?
The advantages to having diversity in a collaborative learning environment is that everyone is different and has different ideas and can give other students different ways of being able to think and act. By other students sharing their ideas it helps everyone to think more “outside the box”.
How might factors such as diversity, attitude, learning, and work styles affect collaboration?
When students help their fellow students have a different point of view it can help them with figuring out their homework better and be able to teach each other ways to use their new knowledge in school, work, and personal life.
How does personal responsibility influence the work and success of a group?
When a students don’t do their part in group activities it creates a domino effect and can make it so that it affects everyone involved and not just the student that hasn’t completed their part. It can also teach others how to be able to understand others better and see other views and ideas.

The students were encouraged to ask each other questions as well as add to and challenge the answers provided by others. I utilized this opportunity to move students, as I seen fit, when formulating these groups. This allowed me to unite the lower ability student with the higher ability student. I felt this coming together greater impacted on the overall development of the students social skills. It gave the lower ability student confidence to offer an answer up to the teacher for consideration knowing that what she is about to say is coherent, having came to its conclusion with another student. I praised the good that she attempted to do and tried to ignore what wrong she does, in the hope that praise becomes a goal and provided her with motivation for further appropriate behaviour and…

There are many advantages to having diversity in a collaborative learning environment including age, religion, physical ability, gender, and sexual orientation. People with other perspectives on things can bring to the table a new way of thinking about things. This can allow a new form of thinking within in the group to come to an understating or agreement to help solve the problem or achieve a goal. It helps other people work together without looking at another person differently because of their background or appearance. I think that it helps bring our culture more together to not be so stereotypical about other people so we can all come to an understanding of one another and keep moving forward in whatever the case may be.…

Working in partnership with other colleagues and professionals is detrimental in being able to provide a service fit for need as it helps promote team working which i believe motivates a team to work well and excel them. It also helps every person involved in providing the service aware of all obstacles that could arise and any outcomes to achieve or have been achieved. Within a children’s setting it can also help build positive environments for children to be in and this would help a child or young person settle better into a new environment so that you are able to assess a person or child and manage tasks efficiently. It helps creates a safe environment to share information as nearly all professionals update themselves with technology, information can now be sent password protected via a encrypted system which deters others from being able to access a person’s private information by a secure connection. Sharing information about a person can help the smooth running of a service as it enables all involved to be fully aware of each person’s position and remit and allows others to know who to approach for feedback or guidance.…

There are many types of diversity in the world today, and no one person can understand all facets that the word diversity holds. By understanding the positive and the negative impact on a group, as an individual and in the groups people work and play with they can open their minds to the possibilities of what diverseness in an organization, team and individual can achieve. Former President Jimmy Carter put it best when he said (http://quotes.telemanage.ca), "We are of course a nation of differences. Those differences don 't make us weak. They 're the source of our strength." One way to embrace diversity in a team is to identify what has the greatest impact on the effectiveness of that team. In this paper the members of this learning team will discuss how the occupations of each learning team member define their role on the team, why religion should be kept separate but the ethics one has should be applied in the team setting, what role gender plays in communication and that differences in sexual orientations in a…
