Plastic surgery is a massive business. Fifth teen million people a year acquire procedures to modify their appearance. Plastic surgery is a type of surgery that is done to repair, restore, or improve lost, injured, defective, or miss happened body parts. Although some may disagree that plastic surgery is necessary and a waste of money, many people feel plastic surgery is advantageous. Plastic Surgery is not just used for beauty purposes. Plastic Surgery is advantageous in so many ways because it is preformed to fix deformities, to fix health reasons, and to fix what needs to be reconstructed. Reason One being that people who are born with deformities or acquire them throughout their life have an opportunity to gain back their confidence through plastic surgery. A child who was born with a cleft lip or cleft palate have many obstacles they have to overcome, like disrupting the child’s full ability to speak and eat. You never think about what it would be like to have a disability like this because it comes natural to speak and eat. However, plastic surgery can change that and affect children who have cleft palates or cleft lips by giving them a chance to reach their full potential. The next reason being for health reasons. The people at the Boston marathon that were hit by the shrapnel after the bombs went of lost limbs or had major or minor wounds. Plastic surgerons were ready to repair the damage that was caused to the skin by the shrapnel. If plastics surgery wasn’t an option for those victims there would have terrible scars left behind and it wouldn’t have been properly taken care of. Plastic surgerons are the surgeons
