This philosophy of being a successful student has been in every child's brain since they started kindergarten. We are told in kindergarten that in order to move up into first grade we need know the alphabet, recognize sight words, and do simple math. Now it seems trivial. But back then we had work hard to do these things. We had to study and do our homework. So the question now is why, in high school, do we need to be taught again about how to be a successful student? To be a successful student, you need to be hardworking, honest, and humble. I personally believe that these are the core elements into creating a well rounded student. Being hardworking is obviously a necessity because it proves to yourself and others that you are doing the best of your ability. Doing your absolute best is all that is needed to show others that you care and that you are dedicated. Being honest and humble go hand-in-hand. When you are being honest you are also showing that you are humble because you care about the people around you while also looking out for yourself. These three qualities really show a person's dedication to being a successful
