College Essay About Major Accomplishments

Wake up, go to school, study, get good grades and repeat. That’s what my parents have always told me to do ever since I was a child and careless of my future ahead. Thinking of those words now, I can understand what my parents were trying to make me understand, but is this really how being young and free supposed to be like? Through having to to this assignment, I actually got to think and elaborate on things I’d like to accomplish before having to fully focus on my career and family. One of my first accomplishments before heading of to university would be becoming fluent in German. By taking online lessons and practising through phone calls to my german relatives, I’ll be fluent in German in no time. Another accomplishment which is quite cliche, is to get accepted to McMaster’s university and study life sciences, and the only route to getting there is to work hard at school.
The only way to accomplish this is having the money, but most importantly tolerating the excruciating pain. Living in Europe has also been on my bucket list for years and I'm hoping to work internationally so I could travel while persuading my career. Falling in love is one of my last goals because I want to meet the right person at the right time, but I’m not in control of how I’d get there, so I’ll have to let fate decide.
