College success
What is College Success?
College success starts in my opinion with yourself, from you admitting to yourself you’re starting the very first step to college success. If you are even considering going to any college you’re on your path to succeeding in college. The actions from buying books, meeting with an adviser to schedule your classes, is going to help you further your college education and most people don’t even realize it. In today world it seems that it is expected to have a decent job to live off of. If you’re not in college you will have a very hard time surviving in this day in age.

was also. When I did finally find my class I was given a syllabus which honestly I had never even seen. As my first day I thought we would be given a lot of work from the start, come to find out that we just go over the syllabus. Come to find out the syllabus is what is going to be given for work and what’s expected. So from transitioning from high school to college where you are given a packet of what is to be expected is a huge relieve to the first day, I can actually say that I liked it more than my first day of high school. Also from my first day I wasn’t under stress from being given homework the first day. The first week though I was into a semi-normal schedule, I had gotten used to it.
The first night that I had gotten homework, it was actually easy surprisingly. It had taken me about a half an hour I started to get cocky though. I had thought this is it? But was I wrong coming the second week I got homework from all three of my classes. Now me having a full time job I finish my classes at 1150 pretty much every day, I work at two thirty every day after school so that leaves about a two and half hour window for me to do work. As the work starts to pile up my free time is getting slimmer and slimmer, starting to get a little …show more content…
stressful.
As the weeks keep drawing in and in the work is staring to be unbearable from work.
I have to keep my job and where it is at though I have an apartment and bills to pay for. That's what driving me to go to college though I'm working at a dead end barely over minimum wage job , forty hours a week for a barely three hundred dollar check. So when the homework piles up before work I will do anything in my power to have that done before I go to work every time I clock in it gives me incentive to not do this job my whole live and have the same set raise for however much effort you put in. Another incentive is I don’t want my son to think he can just not get an education and have that same dead end job that everyone will have in their life, it did take a little push and awakening but when I make a decision I stick to the choice that I'm satisfied
with. As Northern Essex being my beginning point of me succeeding I'm going to tough it through. After Northern Essex I don’t have plans to furthering my education to a university to get my bachelor’s degree. The main reason of why I want a higher education so that I can supply a wonderful life to my future family. I haven’t been on a vacation since I was about 11 which wasn’t that eventful but my father is successful the problem with him is that he was too stuck at work. I'm majoring in accounting so I can be a personal accountant working from home, hopefully making a good amount of money. The life that I had once lived and the live that I'm living, then I'm going to live is giving me drive and responsibility. I will have this drive too when I do graduate with my associate degree when I'm at that point I will feel that diploma in my hand and will want another one, maybe I will want another one being my master’s degree.
