Coloonia Movie Analysis

Colonia is a theatrical reenactment of the hardships that had fallen upon a photographer and his wife through a cultic camp. The cult's leader had beliefs that were mysoginistic, pedophilloic, and vulgar. Although the cult leader was able to sheathe this by instructing the ignorant followers that they were doing God's will. Luckily, the cult was soon discovered by the world and disbanded.

This movie illustrates how religion can be a weapon used by people to twist the beliefs of others into doing that persons will. This is problem in the world in every nation or state. The most dangerous aspect of this is the fact that it is never heard of due to the leaders ability to hide their cult. Cults are likely as wide spread or even more spread as
they were in the time that Colonia took place.

Cults are hard for the law to punish since most of the cults actions are "religion based". Many factors have to be taken in order to deal with these cults. For example, the cult leader in colonia was only charged with child molestation. Despite all the wrong he'd done only one act was charged. Law and religion are a clashing force that are very difficult to evoke punishment.
