To grab your attention and leave an impression by passers won’t forget Bergmann Funeral Services, posts a huge billboard on the opposing side of a subway station saying “Come a Little Closer” in huge font. This advertisment is located on the opposite side of the subway tracks with no other advertisements around it, leaving nothing to focus on but this one ad. This is a solid white billboard with huge letters, and in solid black print this billboard says nothing but the words, “Come a Little Closer” right in the middle and in small plain font at the bottom of the billboard it states the company’s name, Bergmann Funeral Services. This ad is implying that they want the audience to come a little closer, and get hit by the subway, thus giving them business, considering they are a funeral home. The intentions of all advertisements are to catch the audience’s attention and remain memorable. This billboard definitely catches the audience’s attention and leaves it impossible to forget. This advertisement is obviously making a joke or finding sarcastic humor in this situation. It will leave an impression, whether being the impression the funeral home is wanting, or a far more negative impression.
