According to Littlewood(1981) , in order to apply communicative language teaching the teaching and learning activities the teachers should adopt their perceptions based on the communicative language teaching approach. This research study was used qualitative method of data collection. The data were collected from the students. In order to get the result for the research the researcher were conducted semi-structured interviews. The semi-structured interviews were investigated the attitudes and problems based on the implementation of communicative language teaching in all the Malaysian government secondary schools. The interviews were conducted by 30 secondary students in Pasir Gudang district, Johor,Malaysia.The participants for this research study were students from form one until form four. The researchers were found out the particular reasons of the participants reflected unfavorable attitude regarding communicative language teaching .one of the reason for unfavorable attitude at the students was problems of different L1 languages which affected students’ performance in the ESL classes. The multicultural environment in the secondary schools classrooms was another reason for students to not able to speak with each other in the target language easily and fluently. Facilities in the schools also become as a reason for the participants to show the unfavorable attitudes regarding the communicative language teaching implementation in Malaysian secondary schools. Yet, the researchers found out that most of the students showed favorable attitude towards the communicative language teaching approach.
