From Democratic to Communist, from peace to chaotic. Communism impacted the U.S
negatively by bringing fear and series of wars. It created a conflict between the Democratic and
Communists impacting lives of Americans.
Just like in every story, there was a beginning to Communism. The idea of communism
began in Europe during the 19th century brought by a philosopher named Karl Marx. His theory
was that if a capital economy became a socialist it would then give more power to the
government transforming it into communist. Communism is the idea of having the government

The Cold war afflicted Communist Ideology. It was a war unlike any other. The cold war
began in 1941 between the Soviet Union and the United States. Tensions began due to
“communist seizure of power in Russia in 1917 and the resulting disagreements between the
Western powers—including the United States, Great Britain, and France—and the new regime”
(Snead) During and because of the War the second Red Scare came back worse than ever before.
With American’s being fearful of immigrants coming from other places to overthrow their
democratic government like they had done in Russia, the U.S decided to make Anti-communist
laws. These Laws stated that it was illegal to have communist views of any way or form. From

However everyone was unsuccessful. The cold war was over in 1991 leading to the
breakup of the Soviet Union, end of communism in Russia, and the United States be seen as
world power.
Lives of Americans were greatly affected by the formation of the American communist
Party. The American Communist party was founded in 1919 however their role in the 1940s was
bigger than ever. The political party had great influence in politics, people and laws. The
CPUSA was made up of communist supporters with communist views. They’re mission were to
influence communist political views. Members and leaders of this political party tried to achieve
their plans by having secret roles in numerous liberal-left advocacy groups such as the American
League for Peace and Democracy, National Negro Congress, American Writers Union, and
