and Abraham Lincoln had a lot in common, they were both amazing leaders and they are very well remembered. Both Martin and Abraham were sadly assassinated. When they were assassinated the people that assassinated them thought that Martin and Abraham were doing something wrong, helping someone else. They both gave very important both dealing with slavery or blacks and whites. Abraham Lincoln’s speech was the “Gettysburg Address” (2) and Martin Luther King Jr. gave his speech “I have a dream” (1). Both of these men wanted peace, they both cared for civil rights (5). They both made history with their leadership skills and their peacefulness. Overall they are mostly alike because of their peacefulness and their speeches that made a difference.
Even though Martin Luther King Jr. and Abraham Lincoln have a lot in common they also have their differences. The main difference is the protests. Martin Luther King Jr. was a pacifist, which means he did not believe in violence. He believed that war and violence was never the answer (5). Abraham Lincoln on the other hand went through violence as the answer (4). Abe did want peacefulness just like Martin, but he used violence.
