Compare And Contrast A Christmas Carol
The DVD version of A Christmas Carol is better than the novel. The DVD shows more detail and effects. The story does not add effects or music and just does not have the effect the movie does. People get to see what the characters actually look like in person instead of having to imagine them. This is why the DVD is better.

The movie and the novel are alike in some ways. They both start out saying the same thing. The first two spirits come at the same time in the movie as in the story. All the spirits are also called the same thing the ghost of Christmas past, Christmas future, and Christmas present. This is how the story and movie are alike.

The film and the writing are different in many ways as well. The two men that ask scrooge to donate

These are the different things that I’ve noticed within the movie and the book. Also there are more differences but the movie and book do have some similarities. For example in the book and the movie the old man still has treasures. He also still has what was described as a “vulture eye”. So the book and the movie were not completely…

The third and final big difference was Grendel. The poem said that Grendel was a son of Cain. He would attack when everyone was sleeping because people were telling the creation story. In the movie, Grendel was a son of Hrothgar. Grendel attacked during the party because of the praise people would give to Hrothgar. Hollywood did this because they wanted to make them three dimensional, good versus evil. The movie removed references to God and Christianity, so that it would be more favored by the bad guy, Unferth. Hollywood also wanted to make it more appealing to the changing audiences to make them interested in watching it.…
