Our demons may be inner fears we have and are hiding away inside of us. We don’t always let our barriers down and allow people in to help us with these battles. Sometimes we have to put our trust in people.

The underworld is similar to Hell, and Cerberus is the gatekeeper while Hades could be like the devil. We have a separation of these two worlds in our own lives and we all do what we can to avoid going to the underworld (Hell). We live our life trying to stay away from this world.

We all have monsters in our own lives and have battles to overcome. This past year, I have had my own battle to fight. My battle was when I was in and out of the hospital for my head. I had to overcome the pain and the battles I had with the Doctors not knowing what was causing the pain. We all have to feel like we are the Queen bee safe in her hive, but sometimes we have to be afraid of our demons. It is okay to be afraid once in awhile so we learn to put up our defenses and learn how to overcome our fears. I was scared all the time, not knowing what was going on. I wanted to be at school and be around my friends but the headaches were preventing me from doing this. I had to learn to let my defenses down and be able to talk to people and let them help me. It is good to have someone to help you fight these battles. We all have a Cerberus in our lives that is protecting our feelings. I found that my Cerberus came in many

The gods Hades, Zeus, and Poseidon decided to divide the universe amongst themselves; therefore, Poseidon took control over the sea, Zeus gained the sky, and Hades received the underworld. The underworld kingdom, also known as the kingdom of the dead is sub-divided into two separate regions. Tartarus, a land of horrid blackness where the dissolute endured eternal suffering, lay at the very bottom. Titans, who were guarded by giants with a hundred arms, were among those imprisoned in Tartarus. Elysium, or the Elysian Fields, was on the other region of the underworld kingdom. It was a place where the souls of charitable, honorable, good people went after their passing. The dead had to cross the river Styx in order to reach Hades' kingdom. The dead were taken across the river by a boatman named Charon. A multi-headed dog with a serpent's tail, a Cerberus, guarded the entrance to the underworld to ensure the prevention of anyone leaving. The four rivers Acheron (river of woe), Cocytus (river of wailing), Lethe (river of forgetfulness), and Phlegethon (river of fire) flowed through the underworld kingdom. Although Hades supervised the punishment of the dead, he did not torture them…

Cerberus was owned by Hades, god of the Underworld, and brother to Zeus. Cerberus was extremely faithful to Hades, and only obeyed him and his wife, Persephone. Cerberus was chained to the gates of Acheron along a river in the Underworld, where he let in the dead brought across the river, and savagely attacked any living people trying to enter the land of the dead. No dead were allowed to leave, and Cerberus made sure of this. Cerberus mostly sat along the banks of the river Styx. He was my first love and losing him has changed me in the way that in all of my future relationships it will be much harder for me to trust another person. So always live your life to the fullest. Enjoy things as much as you can, travel see the world just make the most out of every day because you only have one life and one day you might not be able to do the things you can now. What Is Hades Evil

Hades respects the dead and sends you to wherever you deserve to go in the underworld ( if bad you were bad you go to Tartarus, which is the where the worst of the worst go to get tormented for eternity, and if were a good person you go to the nice part of the underworld, Elysian Fields.) Hades helped in the titan war against, well the titans, and Kronos. When Hades was given the unwanted job of the underworld he wasn't too pleased, but when he did get the job he didn't complain, he was willing to do anything to help Olympus thrive and succeed. He has been put through lots of mental pain. For example: He has been down in the underworld for thousands of years without human interaction what so ever, except for the occasional visit from Persephone. The many years down there has taken a toll on his body, maybe he's a bit more likely to snap at you then he was when he was first put down there, maybe that's why people think he's evil. He was willing to work and get his hands dirty, and do anything to help the gods. Hades is also powerful, he has a pitchfork that can create earthquakes, not that this is a good thing, but people would probably actually be afraid to break the rules so there would be less crime if he was in charge. Also since hades is the god of the underworld he would encounter many people each day( since many people day) and would get very angry at anyone who tried to cheat death, so their would also be less suicide in this society. If you do cheat death you get sent to Tartarus which is the worst part of the underworld, and I'm pretty sure no one would want to get tormented for eternity. Hades is one of the eldest and most wise gods so he would know what to do in certain…

Eventually they concluded that cancer was a possibility. The doctor also didn’t help with any of this new upcoming stress (but then again it’s not their job). He closed the door, hunched over in his seat, took of his glasses, and in a stern voice told me and my father “we don’t want to scare you but we might be looking at cancer here”. Of course my heart was ready to pound out of my chest due to the immense stress and fear of living with cancer. I’m already an anxious kid and now being told that I could have cancer just made me fear life in itself. Now picture this: you’re a 16 year old where everything is eventually taken away, no more baseball, positive vibes, and stress affecting my performance in school on top of being told I could possibly be living with cancer for the rest of my life. How would I make it anywhere in life when I couldn’t even think straight due to this fear and stress? However even with this news, I took some time to meditate and figure out myself. With this time I contemplated many depressing things. Such as how my funeral would be, who would be there, and who would be sad. With time the doctors confirmed that it was only a scare and that the source was something else that could be…
