Compare And Contrast Cilla Lapham
Cilla Lapham is a bright, brilliant, and lovely young woman with character traits that are similar to my own. She lives in Boston Massachusetts in a little house and she is right around my age. She is the third child of the Lapham family and is fourteen. Cilla loves to learn and help out in many ways. She is a clever, funny and sensitive girl, just like me. Cilla and I are very similar in many of the things we do, but we are different in our own ways as well. Cilla and I are alike in a lot of things. First of all, we both love to learn. When Johnny reads the Bible, she tries to read along to teach her younger sister Isannah. Secondly, we both love little children. Cilla loves her sister Isannah and I love to play with younger children. Another thing is, Cilla and I can sometimes be annoying. I like to bother my brothers and they get mad at me. Cilla annoys Johnny a lot and Johnny gets really mad. Also, we can be sentimental at times, when Johnny burnt his hand, Cilla was being kind …show more content…
The first thing is that Cilla is very emotional. She cries over a lot of things especially when it comes to Isannah. On the other hand, I do not cry a lot. I only cry when something is extremely sad or when emotional things happen. Second of all, Cilla loves to draw, she got a drawing pad and crayons from Johnny and got really excited. I do not like to draw. I am not an artist and I just do not have the passion for it. Another thing is, Cilla has the privilege of having a sister to play and talk to, and I do not have any sisters or cousins around my age that live near me. She knows what it is like growing up with sisters, and I know how it is like growing up with brothers. Lastly, I have a stronger education than Cilla. People back then did not have good education, unlike today where you have to have a good education in order to be successful in life. Cilla and I may be similar in many things, but we are also very

However, I now understand that it was this period that helped shape our modern world. This also reveals that back then, society was more engaged in their communities and wanted everything to be their way where as present times, society is more loose and care free. This article was unique because not only did it give me a clearer understanding of that time period, but others as well. It shows that it is in human nature to have disparities and that it has been occurring since the beginning of…

As twins, we have many similarities in our appearances. My sister and I both normal size, and have the same height. Furthermore, we both have brown hair, brown eyes, and same face structure. Our round faces are almost identical. We also wear the same sizes in clothes because of our same figure. Our tiny hands and chubby feet look exactly alike. Moreover, our styles of fashion are also similar, including baggy t-shirts, shorts, and flip flops. This similar appearance was a problem growing up, because we would steal each others’ clothes. But we use our same style in fashion to our advantage; we both always have each other to go shopping with. When the two of us are talking our voices come out sounding the same. People are sometimes confused on what twin is talking. If the both of us had our backs turned to you there would be no way in telling which one was who. One main thing we share together is each other friendship. I can go to my sister with anything. She is my best friend. She also feels the same about our friendship.…

The main character, the accordionist Cico, starts by joining the Carnival Rolidei as means of breaking out of his suffocating town, and from his pre-determined course of life. The character Gypsy Lorde is portrayed as an ambitious and cynical manager without scruples who is reluctant to see the changes around him. Salome, Gypsy Lorde companion, is as cynical as he, but transmits an air of quiet resignation to the fact that things are changing, whether they like it or not. The fourth character Dasdo, Cico's wife, is very plain looking compared to Salome, very quiet, and passive. Like Salome, Dasdo also quietly resigns to the fact things are changing but she also tries to give an array of hope that the Carnival will survive and prosper. Bye, Bye…
