Young people:
The Nazi’s were determined to turn the young into loyal Nazis and the only way to do so is that they had to get into a routine so lessons began and ended with the teachers and pupils saluting and saying “Hail Hitler” and so this got them to feel it natural to showing there loyalty. As education was a large part on how Hitler believed he will grow in power by the youth he had to glorify the regime so decided to change the history of the Nazi party and how they grew to power and how one day they will achieve a great goal. And so the history books attacked the treaty of Versailles and blamed the Jews for the communistic views and for all the past problems. There was also a movement created called the Hitler Youth this was a movement based on Hitler's idea that Nazi Germany was all up to the children of Germany and had came up with this statement that summed up all of the Hitler youth movement "The weak must be chiselled away. I want young men and women who can suffer pain. A young German must be as swift as a greyhound, as tough as leather, and as hard as Krupp's steel." Hitler believed they had to do these activities to grow and be the great Nazis that Hitler dreamed that they would all be if he had won the war, the Hitler Youth was split in two parts one for Males the other for Females . In the male’s one they had two groups the Deutsches Jungvolk for those aged between 10-13 and then they had Hitler Jugend for ages between 13-18 in this they had to do activities such as "military athletics" (A.K.A. Wehrsport) which included marching, bayonet drill, grenade throwing, trench digging, map reading, gas defence, use of dugouts, how to get under barbed wire and pistol shooting. For the girls they were also split into 2 groups one was from 10-14 and the other for 14-18 where they then had to be able to run 60 metres in 14 seconds, throw a ball 12 metres, complete a 2 hour march, swim 100 metres and know how to make a bed but were only to do so to be fit Hitler had no thoughts
