Compare And Contrast Flags And History

Flags, history, wars, deaths. All of these words have to do with each and every individual country. The United States and Canada have fought in many wars together, had many losses of veterans and civilians, waved our individual flags, and much more! But what I’m going to talk to you about today is the many similarities and differences of the countries, and how the countries came about. The United States of America started out as just individual states. But as time went on, the states slowly merged together through wars, discoveries, and much more! After trying, and trying many times to create a government for the United States, in 1787 a convention was called to create a new legal system for the United States. This new Constitution that came about provided authority, while still protecting rights of citizens. The United States had many, many wars in which were to solve a certain problem. For example; the largest war of all time, was the civil war in which was fought to gain the rights for blacks to not be traded and shipped off individually to work as slaves, separating them from their families. Another huge event was when the flag came about. The U.S flag (up to this day) has 50 stars that represent the each and individual states, and 13 stripes to represent the 13 original colonies.
