Compare And Contrast Indoor Soccer Vs Outdoor Soccer Essay
Although indoor and outdoor soccer are considered to be the same sport, they have many differences. First of all, outdoor soccer has many different aspects of the game that make it the interesting sport that many people all around the world enjoy. For example, playing outdoor soccer requires the use of equipment to protect the player’s bodies. With most of the games being played on grass, the players must wear soccer specific cleats to play; these cleats differ from others because of their lack of metal on the spikes. Having shin guards to protect their heavily attacked legs are necessary to play the sport. Secondly, the large playing field that a soccer field has to offer, leads to more exercise than most people expect. The field, although seeming endless, has boundaries one …show more content…
Because of the size of the field, each team plays eleven players at the same time, which makes for an easier time for all of them. Thirdly, outdoor soccer has different seasons throughout the year. High school soccer, played mostly in the fall, stretches from the excruciating heat of the summer, to the frigid cold of the winter. In more competitive soccer, or cup soccer, teams play in the spring, as soon as the frigid air of the winter leaves. Lastly, outdoor soccer has a plethora of rules that players must follow to continue playing without punishment. The first time a player does something excessively illegal, the referee gives the player a yellow card, and the player must sit out for five minutes. However, if a player does something over excessively illegal, or a second excessively illegal, the player will receive: a red card, that player will be eliminated from the game and the following game too, and making his or her
