Compare And Contrast Synoptic Gospels

In the synoptic gospels, there are accounts of Jesus’ baptism. However, there isn’t a baptism found in the Gospel of John. John also states that Jesus began his ministry when he was about 45 and lasted for about nine months, while the synoptic gospels agree that he was 33 and it lasted three years. The Synoptic gospels also hold to a story that Jesus was lead into the wilderness to be tempted by Satan, but a similar story is not found in John. The synoptic gospels state that the last super was actually a Passover Seder. Contrasting, the gospel of John doesn’t specify that it was a Seder, but rather a typical meal. The synoptic gospels also state that Jesus’ death occurred over Passover, while John states that it happened the day before. Jesus’s message found in the synoptic gospels is that the kingdom of god is coming and the final judgment is near. Within the gospel of John, Jesus’ messages are that final judgment is already occurring, teaching of Jesus himself and that eternal life can be found through him and him only.
