Rough Draft Today many people still fear of the world to end. There have always been issues in this world. There are series of hearings and lies that people like to make up. But, not all sayings are lies. Some become true. Others fear that immigrants would overthrow the United States government. During the Salem Witch Trails, The Red Scare, The Crucible, The War on Terror, and 9/11 are similar due to fear, paranoia and being accused because of rumors that people would spread. Some people argue about how much politics have change. Many think that loss of combat should be shared by all parts of society. In The War on Terror the United States Military desperately needed more troops. Senator Chuck Hegel states that, “why shouldn’t all Americans have to pay some price, make some sacrifice?”(Greenfield 1). Through this quote innocently people are going to get ready for war. Many people do not care if they lose their lives. On September 2001, congress passed a resolution authorizing the use of military forces to fight terrorism no matter how difficult the consequences were. In the War on Terror fear has damaged democracy. Politicians have abused the fear of terrorism to hardness support. Many fear of attacks from neighboring Native Americans and fear of outsiders during the Salem Witch Trials. People during The Crucible fear of falling out of grace with the lord. The Red Scare was where people fear of potential rise of communism. Things like Soviet Union, the Berlin Blockade, the Iron Curtain, and the Chinese Cultural Revolution increased fear. While there was fear during these events, many peoples fear also grew up during 9/11. They fear of more airplanes coming in and crashing into big building. They also feared of dying with their fear growing it decreased peoples possibility of
