Compare And Contrast The Difference Between Bile Size And Stone Diameters

The bile duct and stone diameters were measured during ERCP and corrected for magnification with the external diameter of the distal end of the duodenoscope (13.5 mm) as a reference. Stone size and number and bile duct size were documented on the cholangiogram during ERCP. Stone/bile duct size was assessed by comparing the largest diameter of the stone/bile duct with the diameter of the endoscope, as measured on the cholangiogram. Complete stone removal was defined as no residual stone on cholangiogram after stone extraction. The number of ERCP sessions was defined as the summed number to achieve complete ductal clearance.
