Compare And Contrast The Myths Of Cronus And The Lightning Thief
These myths have two different themes,but they both are connected to one another.These two myths are The Myth of Cronus and The Lightning thief.These myths teach a message to us that I am about to explain.

In the first myth this young boy named Percy Jackson ended up finding out he is the son of an olympian god who is the god of the ocean Poseidon .Another god named Zeus brother of Poseidon and ruler of olympus master bolts go missing and he blame Percy because he is the son of Poseidon.So Percy is sended on a journey to find the bolt and catch the true thief.Along the way he run into other gods such as his uncle Hades lord of the dead,and Ares his cousin and god of war.When he found the master bolts he returned them to olympus

    The story begins with Gaea giving birth to Uranus’ children. He was not proud of them so they decided to throw them in a pit in the underworld. Zeus dethroned his father, but cronus became supreme god. The theme that connects the Cronus Myth and The lightning thief is Fate and Prophecy because in the Cronus Myth there was a Prophecy that cronus’ children would overpower and overthrow him. In percy jackson and The Lightning thief there was a prophecy that Percy would fail to save his mother.…

    Percy Jackson has to go through the Road of Trials, The road of trials confronts you with takes or challenges. Percy has to face many characters on his road to fix the gods. Percy fights medusa, cerberus, luke and others to get what he has came for, Poseidon's Bolt. His ability to continually beat and out fight opponents allows the Road of Trials to be noticed and to form. The hero takes him to Saint Louis, Las Vegas and back to NYC where he is met by his father. Saint Louis contains a needed pearl so does Las Vegas. This is called the Night or Sea Journey. The novel guides Percy around the United States so he can accomplish his goal. The Dragon Battle is not literally a dragon with a battle but a battle with a power that is clearly stronger than the hero. In the case of the Lightning Thief, Percy fights a Hades. Hades was the one who took the lightning bolt from poseidon and stirred all this mess. Lastly the Sacred Marriage comes into play. Even Though scared marriage can be a literal marriage, for Percy, it's not. As the story goes along Percy grows a strong emotional bond with his friend Annabelle.
