When we consider the role of a coach as a role model it is evident that people see Harry Redknapp as a role model this is due to the fact that he stays calm and collected in heated situations and is able to stand up for himself. He was also able to achieve many titles himself when he used play football and within his career as a manager of various football teams he was able to bring many teams. Barry was a fan favourite for Irish and British audiences, as he represented neutrality and peace in a time when Northern Ireland was divided as part of The Troubles. I feel like he is a good example of a coach who represents equal opportunities as he thinks there should fund a new foundation to help fighters with mental health issues and is trying to implement it. On the other hand Dougie Bell a junior golf Ireland coach has to also promote equal opportunities because he is coaching children and he doesn’t want them copying the discriminating behaviour. In these instances, and throughout all coaching activities with players and young people, coaches must avoid engaging in any form of inappropriate contact or behaviour that may breach child protection guidelines. On the other hand Robert Bowman coach of Michael Phelps isn’t coaching any children so child protection isn’t a concern for him but as head coach he must ensure he has insurance to cover himself and his
