College Coaches Research Paper

Coaches play a major role on a team. A rotten coach with a big ego can break a team. Coaches need to put their best foot forward while coaching otherwise it makes a team not be successful, puts the players careers on the line, and can lead to the coach being a bully. I was at a college showcase soccer tournament the other weekend, and the man in charge of my club, Tony, would not let my coach, Jen Sovacool, coach us because my team was winning; therefore, he wanted to be in charge of it. The only reason my team was winning was because of Coach Jen. She figured out a foolproof way to coach this team, and it showed on the field. At my tournament the other weekend it was a college showcase meaning college coaches were coming from all around to recruit players. Tony, the ‘coach’ for the weekend did not play my teammates in their actual positions; therefore, they did not play to their highest potential since they never practiced the positions they were put in. It did not seem like many college coaches stayed long to watch my team, this is weird because my teammates are exceptional soccer players that any college would be lucky to have. Collage coaches did not stay long because Tony put his ego ahead of the team’s future soccer careers. The whole team knew that if Coach Jen was there she would have been all-in to make sure everyone look as sensational as they could. If Tony would have put his best foot forward, like any good coach, then my teammates would have been able to show colleges how amazing of soccer players they truly are.
