YMCA’s competitive business strategy is cost leadership. Each YMCA is independent and sets its own membership fees. For the most part YMCA’s are considered non-profit organizations and their goal is to help out the community rather than earn huge profits. Therefore, some YMCAs wouldn’t have set membership fees; they would base their fees off of individual or family income to make it affordable to the surrounding community.…

Thoughts, feelings, and initial response to the physical environment were, that the school is big and has safety provided. Such as, the main entrance have video security camera. The door is not opened until the permission isn’t given from the inside. All doors are locked and cannot be opened from the outside. The school has a very big gym, nice and clean. I liked the art room that was close to the gym. It has a colorful rug, paintings were hung on the wall, and the environment was very calm. Employees were very friendly and…

This is a great facility for people in the community to stay healthy and fit. For all those who are out there and like to have health and wellness goals for themselves, this group is a great place to achieve these. The YMCA provides members with a huge facility. Here, there is a large gymnasium with a variety of different basketball courts and volleyball courts, and a good size room for working out at any time of the day, and even a couple of pools throughout the building. One pool in this building contains a slide for children to enjoy and have fun and also another pool for others to do their swimming exercises. There is no way a member could leave the YMCA without getting a nice, beneficial work out in. Memberships here at the Y are affordable for everyone, and the organization is willing to help out anyone and everyone who is in need of it. The memberships can range from an initiative of $65 plus a monthly rate of $22, to an initiative cost of $160 and the monthly rate cost of $95. This all depends on whether you are joining as a member yourself or as a family. (“YMCA of Greater GR”) These memberships can be used throughout all seven branches in the Greater Grand Rapids Area. “The Y is more than a gym; it’s a community that welcomes everyone. I appreciate that there is no elitism at the Y; it’s a nonthreatening atmosphere available to all walks of life,” says Joe Camp, a David D. Hunting YMCA…

When looking for competitors of hotels, there are many different things to consider, like price, amenities, the history of the hotel, star rating, and more. I mainly focused on price amenities and the history of the hotels. To start The Grand Hotel was the cheapest of the all the hotels which is nice if you are trying to save a few dollars but still stay in a very nice place. The Grand Hotel was anywhere from 130-190 a night. The Depot was the second cheapest at a price that can vary from 150-200 a night depending on the days you stay and the rooms you’re in. this was also the case for the Graves 601 hotel. The Graves hotel was a little bit more from 170-220 a night. The same with the “W” the Foshay tower, prices were anywhere from 170-209. So all the hotels are very similar in price.…
