Apple iPhone 5 vs. Samsung Galaxy III A phone isn’t just a phone anymore. There are over 128 million people with smartphones in the US; so you are bound to see one anywhere you go. Technology is changing and advancing so fast that, it seems someone is always releasing the new and most advanced must have item. Two of the most popular smart phones are the Apple iPhone 5 and the Samsung Galaxy III. These smart phones have amazing similarities and abilities but also have stark contrast. These companies are constantly competing for new customers and for that reasons it can be difficult to decide which phone best suits your needs and lifestyle. In today’s busy technology driven era, it seems that there is nothing you can’t do from a phone. Who has not seen the commercials showing how you can use you smart phone to start your car, turn the house lights on, watch TV, set the DVR, and much more? Sometimes it seems that we depend on these smart phones to live. Being able to set appointments on your calendar, record your favorite moments, have all your favorite music at your fingertips, and stay connected through social media with an all in one pocket sized device takes convenience to a new level. It is like having a mini computer in your pocket. With all these uses and abilities deciding which life line work best for you is the difficult part. Masek 2

On September 12, 2012, Apple released the much anticipated iPhone 5. Advertisements showcasing the new larger screen, sleek durable aluminum body, and upgraded faster operating system began taking over television and computer screens in the months leading up to the release date. The upbeat and positive advertisements focused on all the phones capabilities, showcasing the larger screen, graphics, easy to use operating system and 4G accessibility. The upbeat music accompanied with scrolling positive words and scenes of the phones abilities was an effective advertising method. There was no mention or suggestion of
