Comparing Animal Farm And A Tale Of Two Cities

One would agree with this sentiment. Two works of literature that exemplify this quote are Animal Farm by George Orwell and A Tale of Two Cities by Charles Dickens. Animal Farm by George Orwell shows that “we pay a price for everything we get or take in this world.” This work of literature is set on a farm called Manor Farm. One night, the animals revolt against, Mr. Jones, the farmer. Napoleon, the antagonist, takes power. When he takes power, everything goes wrong. An example of things going wrong is when Napoleon made the puppies into his army and had them attack

Madame Defarge seeks revenge on the Evermonde family. When she was younger, the Marquis, the antagonist, and his brother impregnated her sister after they caused her brothers’ death by raping her. She loses the baby because of their brutality and then she dies. Dr. Manette goes to prison because he wants to tell the authorities about what the Marquis brothers did to Madame Defarges sister. Madame Defarge found out that Charles Darney is related to the Marquis and tried to kill him and his family, which is also Dr. Manette’s family.
