Comparing Beowulf, Macbeth, And Sonnet 116

Throughout the year so far we, as a class, have read multiple readings that of course we had to in order to pass the class. There has been everything from short stories, epics, and even sonnets. The stories have gone from battles with monsters to how to treat your women. There have been a lot of these reading that still apply in today’s world. Personally I think that there are some of the reading that can teach you a lot about life and how to carry yourself and treat others. Three of my favorite reading would have to be Beowulf, Macbeth, and Sonnet 116. Beowulf is one of those stories that make little boys wish they were him and little girls want to marry him. He knew a king in another land. That king needed his help with these three monsters that were bothering the commoners. Beowulf
When he heard that the king was in trouble he didn’t even hesitate to go and help him. When he arrived at the land the king told him that there was a monster that was taking children when they would cross a bridge just out of town. The monster was named Grendel and Beowulf decided that he should just and fights him, so he did. When he defeated Grendel, Grendel’s mom got livid. She was the next monster that Beowulf had to fight and it was tough but he won that battle as well. A couple years later Beowulf came back to fight a dragon and were killed in the process but that dragon was killed as well. The reason that I like this epic is because Beowulf is just overall a beasty guy. He was a threat to those that didn’t know him and to his friends they were all jealous of him. He was
