Devils and Dust What does your heart contain? Is it full of hate, or full of love? Is it cold and empty, or warm and full? Or is it filled with ¨Devils and Dust¨? In his poem ¨Devils and Dust¨, Bruce Springsteen answers this question. Throughout the poem, Springsteen uses descriptive words to illustrate moods, emotions and images in our mind. He also repeatedly says various phrases which imply importance to him. The repetition and imagery combine to create a poem that evokes gloomy thoughts and memories.
