After the recent events around the world, such as the numerous terrorist attacks and threatening natural disasters, individuals are left to cling to their religious beliefs for comfort and encouragement to press on. Some of these events have encouraged division between cultures, since many of the terrorist attacks are done in the name of their god. After the 2001 attack on the twin towers in New York, and the Pentagon, many people were leery of individuals who valued their Muslim beliefs. In fact, many Muslim worshippers were criticized and accused of having terrorist ties, when, in fact, the people who were actually responsible for the attack were extremists and radicals who took their religious beliefs and mixed them with their own demented thoughts. The truth of the matter is the act carried out that day does not effectively represent the beliefs of the common Muslim person. In this paper, Rankin has presented a challenging and enriching way to point out the seriousness, and need to define and stress Satan’s tactic and schemes in this battle. This book is presents another powerful reminder, that God is actively involved in the lives of those that diligently seek him. This book has provided a great deal of advice for any Christian that is interested in living to glorify God. One bit of advice that stuck with me through reading this book, and advice that has been etched in my heart, and in my spirit as I continue on the battlefield for the Lord, he wrote, “Keep the view from the throne. If we will look at life’s experiences from God’s perspective and what His Word says, then we will not be deceived by Satan who is seeking to defeat us by his lies, distorting reality from God’s kingdom perspective. It’s not really difficult to believe God.”…

Which would be better: a kind, loving god or a mean, selfish, uncaring god? Most people would say a loving god because they want a god who will care and provide for them, rather than curse them. Throughout history, people have worshiped a variety of gods. Some were loving, and some were not. Two main gods in history were Zeus and the God of the Bible (Elohim). There were similarities and differences in the way Zeus and Elohim loved other gods, cared for humans and were worshiped by humans.…
