Comparing Herbert Hoover's Life And Work

Herbert Hoover was born in West branch Iowa being the second of three children on August 10, 1874. jessie Hoover was his dad and he was a blacksmith and owned farm tool stores. Herberts dad moved to Iowa from Ohio 20 years before he was born. Hoover's mom, hulda Randall Minthorn was born in Canada. both of his parents were Quakers, A religious Society and Christian movement. at age 2, he had croup. croup is a respiratory infection that makes the windpipe swelled up and makes it hard to breathe. he was really sick then his uncle, John minthorn revived him from being unconscious. on December 13, 1880 Herbert's father died.later on in February 24, 1884, after working and caring for their children, his mother died. Hoover his older brother and sister became orphans.
on November 10, 1885 Hoover left Iowa to live with his uncle John Minthorn in Oregon and he went to friends Pacific Academy. herbert didn't go to high school but did work in the office of Oregon land company in the office while going to school at the capital business college. on October 1, 1891 Hoover went to Stanford university in a pioneer class. later on Hoover graduated from Stanford with a degree in
