Comparing Prometheus And Pandora's Myth

The myth is a traditional sacred story. In other words, it is an event that took place at the beginning of Time and that through actions carried out by supernatural beings, the existence of the world and of its inhabitants are explained. They belong to the beliefs of a community, and they are different from science. The aim of this paper is to confirm that the story of Prometheus and Pandora is a proper myth. In order to achieve the aim, the story will be analyzed, and the typical features of this genre within the story, which are the setting in time and place, the characters and its function, the likehood of events and the authority implied in the tale, will be described.
First of all, the setting in time and place, which are important characteristics of the myth, will be established. The story does not say when it took place, but with certainty, it is located in immemorial times, meaning by this at times in which no one remembers or times when the Earth was created. As regards the place, the myth of Prometheus and Pandora is related to Greek mythology, so it is known that the events take place in Ancient Greece.
