Desire to be appreciated” These days too many people go about their lives in complete misery not knowing that the answer to a better life is as easy as a compliment. This presentation is meant to explain the process of giving a complement. By giving complements you feel good about yourself because you made someone else feel good and they appreciated it. By getting a complement you feel good because Someone else told you they like something about you that you wanted people to notice.
In this report I had to come up with a system of getting honest reactions out of people. I noticed that I couldn’t just go up to people and ask if I could give them a compliment I had to surprise them with it. I took them by surprise and gauged their reaction to the compliment. I then proceed to ask them what is their reaction, how did the compliment make the person feel, how was the compliment taken, did it boost their self esteem, and how would they react if a member of the opposite sex gave them the same compliment.
Here in the good ole US of A we have compliment day which is a national holiday (though not a
Bank holiday) and it is commemorated on 24th of every year. This is a day to give complements at any given opportunity to any given person you meet in your day. It is also a day to receive complements as well and to use those compliments to better yourself and to feel better about yourself. Mark Twain once said that he could “live off of a good complement for two months.”
