Concealed Weapons

It is the second amendment for the right to bear arms. Every different state decides if people have the right to carry a concealed weapon. Federal gun control laws also affect the implication of the states laws. People are held to gunpoint nearly every day in big cities like Chicago, New York, and Los Angeles. If this happens to someone, they should have the right to defend themselves and match the power. People just need to make the right choices with that weapon. Concealed weapons should be legal so one can feel safe, and be safe when an attack approaches.
If an everyday citizen is attacked by a gun, they now have a real form of defense. People can now match or even outmatch the attacker’s firepower. Say a gunman comes

He lives in Wisconsin where it is legal to have the concealed firearm. He says he always feels more safe for not only himself, but for the people around him who he can potentially save. There was an incident about fifteen years ago when he was walking into town when an outsider, not a town usual, drove into a local diner. He attempted to rob the diner since it generates a pretty steady income. My Grandfather and his former Chicago policeman partner jumped into action and held the gun up to him. They didn’t need to shoot him because generally most people don’t want to be shot and killed. The man was then arrested and taken away. My grandfather saved the Cubby Bear Lodge their day’s earnings and possibly the waitress’s life. A similar situation occurred at the Ohio State University in Columbus. In The New American, an article was written about the encountering. Two students were involved in this situation. One of the students, Joe Smith, is now the campus president for concealed weapons. A belligerent man approached the Smith’s wife. He threatened to kill them when Smith drew his gun. He didn’t even need to shoot. When the aggressor saw he was armed he fled the scene immediately. Smith talks about the situation, “When he was about fifteen feet away, I drew my handgun. … I was prepared to shoot, but didn’t have to.” (Smith). This shows another incident of having a concealed weapon can save lives. It is a protection option, which is only meant to protect. When the gun is in the right hands this law is very effective. This is why people are so passionate about this law because they can see the results in regular everyday

Today’s global environment has become more violent than just a decade ago. The majority of attacks has been on civilians in atmospheres where few, if any, of the victims are expected to be armed and able to defend themselves. However, hindsight reports from law enforcement personnel admit that if more private citizens were armed, the number of lethal crimes would most likely decrease. This is because criminals won’t know who, or how many, individuals are armed and ready to protect themselves and their loved ones.…

Concealed carry has been around since the beggining of America. It is our second amendment right to carry a concealed weapon in the public. In second amendment it states, “a well regulated militia being necessary to the security of a free state, the right of the people to bear arms should not be fringed” (B). That means that people should have the right to have a weapon and defend themselves. That was obviously put into place a long time ago, but more recently they changed it a little bit. In the 2012 court case “moore vs. madigan” ruled that, “ The second amendment right to bear arms must be interpreted to include a right to have a concealed carry in public, to have it ready for use, and to have it for self defence” (B). That debate…

The article, "Supreme Court Declines to Hear Case on Concealed Gun Restrictions" is about a case that was declined by the U.S. Supreme Court on Monday. The case, Peruta v. California, argues the good cause requirement in order for residents to be able to applying for a license to carry a concealed weapon infringes on Second Amendment rights. This mean the U.S Supreme Court was presented with a case about the Second Amendment and dismissed the court without hearing it. I believe the U.S Supreme Court should’ve listen to the case and not just this case, but every case. If someone is filing a lawsuit it’s because they was concerned about a certain topic. Therefore, their problem should be solved.…

The New York Times author, Dave Phillips, creates an article titled Grappling with Guns on Campus. Throughout his writing, he states several interviews with people in relation to the school who actively has a problem with or without the concealed carry law in Texas. For example, he writes, “I (Professor Lisa Moore) love what I do. I consider teaching and learning to be a sacred vocation. We want to do everything we can to promote it. I don’t see guns as a part of that. So, no, I won’t be allowing guns in my office.” Professor Moore is strongly against allowing firearms on campus locations, because she believes weapons do not matter when it comes to the subject of schooling. Author Phillips writes again, “It’s not that I’m (Huyler Marsh) afraid of getting attacked all the time. It’s more like a fire extinguisher or a seat belt… If I call 911, it might be ten minutes before they get here.” Despite two opposing viewpoints, it is always better to be safe than sorry, because no one knows what another person will…

The Second Amendment has been one of the most controversial topics that America faces today. The Second Amendment of the United States Constitution reads: "A well-regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed" (LII). Under the constitution, you are able to own guns but there has been many restrictions and Acts that control your rights to a minimum. Gun rights reforms are how the Acts and certain limitations are made. These reforms are made to help lower the dangers of these weapons and allow for higher protection. The Second Amendment and Gun Rights should be adapted to today’s society along with certain past events to allow citizens to bear arms publicly. In multiple scenarios, these past event may have been avoided if gun control was open to more eligible citizens.…

Among every one of them, in any case, wrangle over weapon control has been common for so long, it is something numerous individuals can without much of a stretch set their sights on. It is an issue everyone should have a feeling on, as it is immeasurably essential, possibly debilitating, and very present in advanced society. Numerous locate the insignificant idea of weapon control intrusive to their sacred rights while others see an absence of firearm control to be astonishingly unsafe. An author describes, “Organizations like Gun Owners of America and Guns Save Lives also subscribe to the belief (a gun lobby article of faith) that society would benefit if every American carried a concealed handgun all the time” (Greif par. 4). Assurance of oneself and their rights could conceivably be more critical than many lives lost possibly because of genuinely unhindered firearm possession. The simple inquiry would convey numerous to ear-shattering open deliberation, and all things considered. Shouts of sacred disregard and of humanistic laziness would likely be heard miles away. This open deliberation would be particularly on target, however, as there are numerous substantial focuses from either side or it is a subject that must be thoroughly considered…

When carrying a concealed weapon into a place of employment there are numerous issues that have been raised regarding the safety of the situation. Does the carrier create a hostile environment for their co-workers, or does the carrier’s possession pose a chance to disrupt the safety for the workplace staff. These are fair questions that should be addressed when considering concealed carry on the job. These are questions to consider but not reasons to violate a person’s right to bear arms. Rather than banning concealed carry, there are measures that can be taken to alleviate possible issues concerning the usage of concealed carry in the workplace, and even help to make other citizens aware of the concealed carry laws, and even help to make them comfortable with dealing with guns. Therefore it would be more beneficial for companies to raise awareness to the concealed carry, offer training, and implement company policies and procedures, making concealed carry a beneficial part of their company rather than approaching it from a negative perspective.…

Since the beginning of our nation after the Declaration of Independence was signed, individuals have had the rights to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. Inside these ‘rights’ is the right to bear arms. Is that wrong? Should all people have access to firearms? As stated in the second amendment, we as a nation and individuals have every right to own our own weapons. Therefore, it is your right to either own a weapon or not. There are some who buy a gun, put it in their gun cabinet, and never look at it again for years. Others shoot their guns regularly at ranges, take it to go on a hunting trip, or keep it close to their bed at night if they live in areas with a high crime rate, and these are all practices of using a gun that are considered to be proper uses. On the other hand, there are those who obtain them illegally and use them to harm, murder, rape, or put fear in other citizens. Most states offer a concealed handgun license that you can get when you turn twenty-one by going through the right course in order for you to carry a weapon around legally. The right to bear arms is an important symbol of an individual’s freedoms that our founding fathers established for those who understood the proper and improper uses when you bear arms, and anyone or anything trying to take that away is morally unjust and unconstitutional.…

    Opposing Gun Control Laws

Watch out! Murder and mayhem is surely on the horizon as gun control laws are being dropped, and penalties could be imposed on those who do not comply. The debate over the use of guns in the United States can be traced back as far as 1791. The United States has the greatest percentage of private firearm ownership in the world. Most people do not just own one gun they own two or more guns. The average citizen comes to the realization that in order to deter and defend themselves and their loved ones against crimes, the burden becomes theirs. The police cannot protect every individual from a crime. The book “Dial 911 and Die”, through different stories, proves that citizens need to rely upon themselves for their own personal protection. Even though each state has its own individual gun control laws, there is no nationwide system of gun control. Criminals can very easily have someone buy a gun for them in a state with slack gun laws and then have it brought back to a state with stricter gun laws. With that being said, a gun that is locked in a gun cabinet, disabled, or even just unloaded is less readily available as one that is left loaded and ready to use. People should not have limited access to their guns in our society because it’s a person’s right to bear arms; in addition, opposing gun control laws does not lessen crime rates and it is counterproductive in saving lives.…

    Essay On Concealed Weapons

On Friday, December 14 there was a shooting at Sandy Hook Elementary. A man shot an entrance into the school, through the front office and then continued toward the classrooms. He walked into a Kindergarten classroom of 14 innocent 4 and 5 students and a substitute teacher, in which he shot all of them. He continued toward a first grade classroom in which he shot the teacher and six of the students. This is all could have been stopped if a citizen with a Concealed Carry Permit, CCP, was near during the incident. A school isn't allowed to have guns on campus and that makes it all the bit more easy for a shooter to walk in and not be stopped. Concealed weapons should be legal in all states because it is a right of the US citizen, can stop…
