On Thursday, December 24th of last year I attended the Christmas Carol Service held by the Cathedral of the Madeleine in downtown Salt Lake. I enjoyed that the concert was featured by youth and young adults, some around my age, and also that nearly all of the songs were accompanied by an organ. The organ completed the whole feel and mood of the songs; it made them more meaningful and enjoyable. The accompaniment added an element to the music that made it sound more dramatic and it gave more power and emotions to the songs.

For instance, I could be louder when I sing, but not loud enough to stick out from everybody else. Another thing that I found the choir was very good at, and that I could apply to my singing strategies, is pronouncing the words the same as everyone around me so it sounds much more organized and it overall sounds better. The main thing the choir did well that I could work on is phrasing. I noticed that no one breathed in the middle of a word or phrase and I could work on that because it sounds impressive if you do. Lastly, blending is very important, and that is one of many things that I could do to improve my
