However, in January 2007 Poor Son filed a voluntary bankruptcy under Chapter 11 of the U.S. bankruptcy code because of its inability of meet obligations as they became due. Then, Parent claimed the loss of control of Poor Son and deconsolidated Poor Son from its financial statement. After that, the bankruptcy court reopened the bidding process and recommended Parent’s plan of reorganization in August 2010. Finally, Parent received final confirmation of Poor Son’s plan.…

A possible revenue source is a provider assessment, a state law that authorizes collecting revenue from specified categories of providers. Provider assessments provide a more stable source of revenue than sales tax, which funds more than half of the General Fund for Arizona, which in turn provides state dollars for AHCCCS. Since assessments are frequently a percentage of profit earned by the identified provider, they are based on the actual cost of care and are more able to keep pace with the rising expenses in health care. This provider assessment would be used to generate new in-state funds and match them with federal money so that the state receives additional federal Medicaid dollars.…

The overall success should be evaluated in contingent on the financial management effectiveness and how efficient management can monitor the complete program. Initial assessment of a client is crucial to determine eligibility to provide further adequate and resourceful services. In addition, this serves as a tool to place individuals in the correct program rather than having them go from one plan to another. This proposition should be policy friendly and have minimal restrictions or easier guidelines for individuals to qualify rather than to disqualify them for benefits. viii. In July, 9.6 percent of otherwise qualified applicants for cash assistance were denied for a drug-related reason. With an estimated annual savings to the state of $1,608 per drug-related denial, these 574 denials from July 2011 represent annualized savings to Florida taxpayers of $922,992. The cost of reimbursing the 5,390 approved applicants with a negative drug test ($30 average for each) reduces this annualized savings figure by $161,700, for a remaining savings to taxpayers of $761,292 for the first month of the program alone.…
