1. Improve the manual inventory system to increase efficiency.
Advantages:
There would be a chance of having a better inventory system.
The company would not cost much and does not require huge amount of time for implementation.
Disadvantages:
Continuing the manual system may still take a long time because manual inventory count a hassle and tiring especially when they have a huge number of stocks.
This does not ensure the ability to be efficient and effective.
2. Change the manual system to a computerized inventory system.
Advantages:
Monitoring on the stocks would be done in an effective and efficient process.
A computerized system would provide accurate and precise information on the inventory.
Information from the computerized system is more reliable and timely.
It is a very significant investment that would greatly help the company’s operations in the long run.
Disadvantages:
Designing and creating the computerized system would be costly since it would need the expertise of professional programmers.
The system itself would need expensive equipment, therefore acquiring additional expenses.
